Curry Club April 2023 at the Panahar, Moorland Road
One of our favourite curry restaurants is the Panahar on Moorland Road. For our 26th Curry Club meet, we chose to come back to Panahar Indian Cuisine. There were 12 of us including two members from our sister lodges and a potential candidate.
The Curry House
Curry Club at Panahar wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Sainsbury Local down the road for drinks and cash from the cash machine. There are couple of things you need to know about Panahar. They only accept cash due to ‘problem’ with their payment system and that they do not serve alcohol. The latter means all the more reason to go to the local supermarket to get your supply of beer for the evening as they operate on BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottles).
The Company
This has been the biggest turn out so far this year. Our party took up almost half the spaces available to patrons in Panahar. The food was great as usual but what was most important was that we enjoyed each others company. Also with us were two members from Royal Sussex and Royal Cumberland Lodge and a potential candidate. We met across the road for a quick pint at Velo Lounge before being seated. With the streets decorated and ready for King Charles Coronation, it made the experience that bit more special.
