Immediate Past Master

This section provides an overview of the Immediate Past Master’s role in the Lodge after the chair with the immediate responsibility of supporting the Worshipful Master.

1. 

   On completion of installing his successor as WM, the IPM will assume the role of support to the WM sitting on his immediate left and giving prompts as required. Have your book ready to help the WM with rituals.

2. He will also stand in for the WM when required for whatever reason
3. He may be involved in ritual as required
4. At the Festive Board he will sit on the immediate left of the Wm between the WM and DC
5. Not officially an Officer of the Lodge but just as important, be ready to prompt when needed but neither too soon nor too much.
