The Bath Festival Fringe this year is on for fourteen nights between 29th May and 12th June, with different events covering a wide range of music and comedy tastes. These include a charity event in aid of the Frome Charity “We Hear You” on Tuesday June 7th where all proceeds from ticket sales will go direct to the Charity.
On 7th April at the Provincial Grand Lodge of Somerset Annual Meeting, the Lodge of Honour, represented by its Worshipful Master and willing brethren presented the travelling trowel to the RW Provincial Grand Master of the Province of Somerset.
At our second regular meeting of the year, we welcomed our new initiate and received the Travelling Trowel from Gerard Lodge no 8999.
At our very first regular meeting of the year we commemorated the Lodge’s 197th Anniversary, taking us another year closer to our bi-centenary in 2025. While originally petitioned as “The Tynte Lodge of Honour and Independence”, on the 23rd February 1825 that Grand Lodge issued our warrant under the name “The Lodge of Honour”.
As 2021 drew to a close, there was only one thing left for our lodge, the Installation meeting in December. With most of our members in the Acting roles, it is only natural that the new Worshipful Master officially appoints his officer for the ensuing year.
As part of the Province of Somerset, we are fortunate to have a representative at the forthcoming Solomon Live webinar where 4 Freemasons will be interviewed on the 14th December 2021 at 7:30pm.
Completing his 4th and final meeting before the Installation of a new WM next month, our current WM, aided by his Officers had the pleasure of performing a third degree ceremony at the November meeting this year. This is a much welcomed and long awaited for ceremony for LoH since the pandemic closures of 2020.
The gentlemen of the Lodge of Honour were overjoyed to have our first face to face Masonic meeting after two long years this week! Socially distanced and with all due precautions taken, we gathered at the Bath Masonic Hall on the second Monday in October and opened the Lodge (finally!).
